National Antimicrobial Prescribing Survey

The National Antimicrobial Prescribing Survey (NAPS) is a standardised auditing tool designed to help health care facilities assess the quantity and quality of local antimicrobial prescribing.

Description:

There are several modules available: including the

  • Hospital NAPS, Surgical NAPS and Quality Improvement NAPS for hospitals
  • Aged Care NAPS for residential age care homes.

A General Practice NAPS and Hospital-in-the-Home NAPS have been piloted, and a Veterinary NAPS is in development.
