Description:

The project includes optimising prevention and treatment of infections to reduce antibiotic resistance and adverse outcomes. Elements used include:

  • leadership
  • accountability
  • medicines expertise
  • tracking reporting
  • education.

The project focuses on urinary tract infections and cellulitis infections in terms of:

  • preventing these infections
  • identifying symptomatic infections
  • guidelines and communication of treatment.
Timeframe:
It has been running 2 years and will finish June 2018
