WARRA: the treatment and impact of antimicrobial resistance across the Illawarra Shoalhaven population

The Wollongong Antimicrobial Resistance Research Alliance (WARRA) aim to identify trends in antimicrobial resistance across the Illawarra Shoalhaven region.

Description:

This project will identify trends over a 10-year period and focus on organisms including:

  • staphylococcus aureus
  • escherichia coli
  • klebsiella pneumonia
  • enterobacter spp
  • pneumococcus
  • haemophilus influenza.

It further aims to determine the evolution of antimicrobial resistance in an individual over time.
