AURA 2019 Third Australian report on antimicrobial use and resistance in human health

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) was funded by the Department of Health to establish and coordinate a national surveillance system for Antimicrobial Use and Resistance in Australia (AURA). 

The Commission released AURA 2019 - Third Australian report on antimicrobial use and resistance in human health in May 2019. The report provides a comprehensive picture of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), antimicrobial use and the appropriateness of antimicrobial prescribing in Australia, in hospitals, aged care, general practice and the community.
